After getting your third core upgrade, Monarch will continue to be able to earn cores.Rearm and Reload does not reduce Rearm's cooldown, only speed up the actual animation of rearming. With Multi-Target Missile System installed, you must hold the ordnance button to acquire locks tapping it will still just fire the regular unguided missiles.
#TITANFALL 2 MONARCH UPGRADE#
The most popular and "meta" upgrade path are the 3 XO16A2 Chaingun upgrades, which includes Arc Rounds, Rearm and Reload and XO-16 Accelerator. Sadly, Multi-Target Missile System is absolutely terrible, and never worth using. Ultimately, the choice between the two is up to the player, with XO-16 Accelerator being a popular choice for skilled players who are able to pump out massive amounts of DPS with good aim and positioning, while Superior Chassis exists for players who want to continue wrecking with Monarch for longer. Because this ability increase Monarch's DPS substantially, it allows them to gain cores faster. This is because extra cores can be granted after your third, but all they give Monarch is the extra shield. While the latter does drastically increase survivability, XO-16 Accelerator actually increases your survivability too.

The choice between XO-16 Accelerator and Superior Chassis can be a difficult one. Avoid picking Energy Field, as it's mostly useless. Rearm and Reload is the most popular, while Maelstrom exists as a surprisingly powerful alternative. The three level 2 core upgrades are all pretty weak, but that also means that choosing any of them won't have many good/bad consequences. Energy transfer can also be a fun albeit weak strategy in the Last Titan Standing gamemode. The first core upgrade a player should choose is almost always Arc Rounds, as it allows Monarch to absolutely chew through shields, increasing their DPS and giving them substantially better matchups against enemy titans with shields such as Ion.
#TITANFALL 2 MONARCH MOD#
"Installs the Accelerator mod for the XO-16, increasing its max fire rate and damage." "Upgrades Monarch's max Health and removes weak point vulnerabilities." "Hold Rocket Salvo to lock onto heavily armored targets. " Energy Siphon affects a large area around the point of impact."

" Electric Smoke is intensified, dealing more damage to Titans and Pilots." "Hitting friendly Titans with Energy Siphon gives them shield." " Rocket Salvo fires twice the amount of missiles." " XO-16 rounds deal more damage to Shields and drain energy from Vortex and Thermal Shields. In selecting Kits, the user will be given three additional options to coincide with each level of the Core alongside the basic Kit 1, Kit 2 and Titanfall Kit.

#TITANFALL 2 MONARCH FULL#
Instead of dealing direct damage to enemy Titans, the Core instead recharges Monarch's shields to full (granting 2,500 health), and upgrades Monarch's abilities - this is done through three tiers with each subsequent activation of the Core, Monarch will progress a Tier from Tier 1 (First usage) to Tier 3 (Third usage). Upgrade Core does not work along the lines of the other core abilities available in Titanfall 2.
